Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information is handled when you use Premium QR Codes and its QR, file-hosting, business-card, menu and short-link services.

Effective: September 1, 2026 Last updated: September 1, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Premium QR Codes (“Premium QR Codes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit our website, create an account, generate QR codes or short links, upload or link content, create a digital business card, build a restaurant menu, or use related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Our Services are available internationally. Depending on your location, applicable privacy laws may provide additional rights. We process personal data under applicable law, including Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law and, where its territorial requirements apply, the EU General Data Protection Regulation and similar privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

We may collect information you provide, including:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, username, and authentication credentials.
  • Billing, subscription, and transaction-related information.
  • Support requests, feedback, correspondence, privacy requests, and abuse reports.
  • QR-code content, destination URLs, short-link names, projects, settings, and designs.
  • PDFs, videos, images, logos, menu files, and other content you choose to upload or link.
  • Digital business-card information including names, photographs, job titles, company details, biographies, contact details, addresses, websites, and social links.
  • Restaurant details, menus, prices, descriptions, photographs, dietary information, and locations.

Do not submit sensitive personal data or confidential information unless it is necessary, lawful, and suitable for the feature you are using.

Information collected automatically

When someone visits the Services, scans a managed QR code, or opens a dynamic link, we may collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it.
  • Browser, device, operating system, language, and device type.
  • Access time, referring page, requested destination, and interaction information.
  • QR-code scan and short-link click statistics.
  • Session identifiers, cookies, security records, diagnostics, and error information.

QR-code owners may receive aggregated scan or visit statistics. We do not intend to give them information that directly identifies an individual scanner unless that individual knowingly supplies information through the destination experience.

Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from providers that support authentication, payments, cloud storage, hosting, analytics, security, content delivery, email, or customer support. If you use a third-party cloud service, exchanged information depends on your instructions, permissions, and that provider's policies.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Create accounts and authenticate users.
  • Generate, host, route, display, and manage QR codes, files, short links, digital cards, and menus.
  • Process subscriptions and maintain payment records.
  • Provide analytics and requested customization.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and abuse requests.
  • Detect phishing, malware, spam, fraud, unauthorized access, and other misuse.
  • Protect users, the public, our Services, and our legal rights.
  • Send service, security, account, and policy communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not claim ownership of user content merely because it is submitted to the Services. We do not sell user-uploaded files or personal information as those terms are commonly understood.

4. Legal Bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Contract: processing required to provide the Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests: securing, maintaining, and improving the Services; preventing abuse; and supporting users.
  • Consent: where you consent to specific cookies, communications, or processing.
  • Legal obligations: compliance with lawful, accounting, regulatory, and tax requirements.
  • Rights and safety: establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims and protecting people or systems.

5. File Hosting, User Choice, and Retention

You decide whether to save supported content and, where available, whether to use Premium QR Codes hosting, your own cloud-based service, another third-party provider, or an external URL.

Files hosted by Premium QR Codes may remain available for the duration selected by you, while your account or applicable feature remains active, or until the content is deleted or expires. Availability may also depend on plan limits, technical requirements, account status, security enforcement, legal requirements, and our Terms.

Important: When a hosted PDF, video, image, menu, card, or other destination is deleted, expires, loses permission, or is removed, its associated QR code or short link may stop providing access to it.

Deleting a file does not alter QR codes already printed or downloaded. We cannot guarantee deletion of copies previously downloaded, cached, indexed, or saved by other people.

Account and operational records may be retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, backups, dispute resolution, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and enforcement. Temporary backup copies may remain until overwritten through normal backup cycles.

Third-party cloud providers control their own retention and deletion practices. Removing content from Premium QR Codes does not necessarily remove it from a third party, and removing it from a third party does not necessarily remove related Premium QR Codes records.

Invoices and Invoice Maker

The Invoice Maker can be used in private mode or with optional saved and hosted invoice features.

  • Private mode: invoice information is processed in your browser and is not intentionally stored by Premium QR Codes unless you choose to save or publish the invoice.
  • Saved or hosted invoices: when you choose to save or publish an invoice, the invoice document and information needed to provide the hosted page, public invoice URL, Invoice QR code, downloads, and management features are stored by Premium QR Codes.
  • A published invoice may be accessible to anyone who possesses its public invoice URL or Invoice QR code. You are responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to include in a published invoice.

For hosted invoices, we may record operational analytics such as invoice-page views, Invoice QR visits, print actions, PDF downloads, and payment-link clicks. These records may include a privacy-preserving visitor identifier derived from connection information for analytics, abuse prevention, and approximate unique-visitor measurement. The analytics identifier is designed so that the raw IP address is not stored in the invoice analytics event as the identifier itself.

When you request a downloadable PDF of a hosted invoice, Premium QR Codes may render that invoice on our server and keep a private generated-PDF cache to improve performance. Generated PDF files are not intended to be publicly browsable independently of the invoice download feature.

If you include a payment URL or payment instructions, Premium QR Codes may display that information or redirect the recipient to the destination you supplied. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a separate payment service, Premium QR Codes does not process the underlying payment transaction between the invoice sender, recipient, bank, wallet, or payment provider.

Hosted invoices may be reported for abuse and may be unpublished, suspended, restricted, or removed where necessary for security, legal compliance, enforcement of our Terms, or protection of users and the public.

6. Sharing Information

We may share information as reasonably necessary with:

  • Hosting, database, security, email, analytics, support, payment, content-delivery, and infrastructure providers.
  • Cloud services you choose to connect or use.
  • Lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and other professional advisers.
  • Authorities or relevant parties when required by law, valid legal process, abuse investigation, or protection of rights and safety.
  • A successor or participant in a merger, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Public cards, menus, files, profiles, and destination pages can be viewed and shared by anyone who has their URL or QR code. Do not publish information you want to keep private.

7. Cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies for login, sessions, preferences, security, performance, and analytics. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies. Browser or consent controls can be used to manage cookies, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Services from functioning.

Short-link tracking pixels and consent

Short-link owners can attach supported third-party analytics or advertising provider IDs to a short link. When supported tracking is attached, Premium QR Codes presents a first-party tracking choice before loading those third-party services for an eligible human browser request.

Choosing Allow tracking & continue permits the configured supported services to load before the redirect. Choosing Continue without tracking sends the visitor to the destination without Premium QR Codes loading those attached third-party tracking services.

Current supported public tracking providers include Google Analytics 4, Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Quora, TikTok, and Snapchat. Google Tag Manager may be available as a saved provider option but is not enabled in the current public tracking bridge. Arbitrary customer-supplied JavaScript, HTML, and pasted tracking snippets are not accepted by this feature.

If tracking is allowed, the configured third-party provider may receive technical information associated with the request, including an IP address and browser or device information, and may use cookies or similar technologies according to its own configuration and policies.

A Global Privacy Control signal (Sec-GPC: 1) overrides a stored Allow choice for that request. The tracking preference is scoped to the individual short link and may be remembered for up to 180 days. If the attached tracking configuration changes, the visitor is asked again.

The preference cookie is Secure and HttpOnly and is scoped to the short-link host and path. A separate short-lived Secure, HttpOnly challenge cookie protects the tracking-choice flow.

Visitors can open the first-party tracking preference manager for an individual short link to review the saved Allow or Deny state, change that choice, or reset it. Resetting removes the saved preference. When supported tracking services are attached, a later eligible visit without a saved preference is shown the tracking-choice prompt again.

Premium QR Codes separately records first-party short-link analytics used for link statistics and service operation. Continuing without attached third-party tracking does not disable this first-party click accounting.

Short-link owners are responsible for using configured third-party providers in accordance with applicable law, provider requirements, and any notice or consent obligations that apply to their use.

8. International Data Transfers

Premium QR Codes serves users worldwide. Information may be processed where our infrastructure or service providers operate. Those locations may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use lawful safeguards for international transfers.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and selecting appropriate access settings for your content.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access personal data held about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of personal data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive eligible information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.
  • Complain to an applicable data-protection authority.

Manage available information through your account or email [email protected] . We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Information may be retained where law permits or requires it.

11. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. A higher minimum age may apply in some countries. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information unlawfully.

12. Third-Party Destinations

QR codes and short links may lead to third-party websites, files, applications, payment services, or cloud providers. We do not control their content, security, availability, or privacy practices. Review their policies before using them.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our Services, laws, technology, or business practices change. The updated page will show a revised date, and additional notice will be provided where legally required.
